City University RaG V-Day College Campaign 2004

What is V-Day?  V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls.  V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations.  Through benefit performances of “The Vagina Monologues,” unique documentary film projects and innovative gatherings designed to change social attitudes toward violence, V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop world-wide violence against women and girls including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sexual slavery.  In its first six years, the V-Day movement has raised over $20 million.  The 'V' in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina.  For more information, please visit www.vday.org.

What are City University RaG doing to benefit V-Day 2004?

City RaG are organizing three benefit productions of "The Vagina Monologues" by Eve Ensler, to be performed in February 2004.

We are looking to find women who would like to perform the monologues and men and women to be involved in the production and organization of the play.  If you are interested in taking part please email RaG on the link below or leave your contact details (name, email & phone) in the Resource Centre in the Students' Union and we'll be in touch soon!

You can find more information on our beneficiaries for our V-Day campaign in the 2003 Charities section of our website.

 Yours With Vagina Love!
