RaG Charities 2003-04
This year City RaG have selected three local charities and V-Day as their beneficiaries.
V-Day aims to promote a
reduction in Violence towards women, and as we are producing and
staging The Vagina Monologues,
as a part of V-Day, we
have selected three local antiviolence organisations as our
beneficiaries.
We are proud to announce they are:

Jewish Women's' Aid
JWA
Aims to break the silence surrounding domestic violence through
education and awareness raising programmes.
The first refuge in Europe for Jewish women and their children fleeing
domestic violence in now open in London thanks to JWA.
The also offer a counselling, support and befriending service and work
London-wide.
Women and Girls' Network
Providence Row
A small charity working out of North and
East London run a project called
Just Women which was set up as a women's only space
in their day centre, helping
women who are caught in cycles of homelessness, insecure housing and
abusive relationships (including prostitution), providing a safe and supportive
environment which enables the cycles of abuse to be broken and the
women to make positive life choices.
