City RaG

Welcome to City RaG!
So
now you have found us, we are guessing you'd like to know more about us
right?
City RaG are the student fund-raising body of
City University, London.
RaG stands for Raise and Give.
The essence of RaG is to raise money through events, collections and
donations and then give it to charities.
City RaG has been formally "going" since 1998, and since then have
raised over £10,000 for beneficiaries. We have done this by
organizing events for the student community at City such as....
The Worlds Largest Anne Summers' Party
Male and Female Erotic Dance Nights
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Night
Magic Night
RaG Week
Cabaret Night
Man-O-Man and Woman-O-Woman
The RaG Freshers' Ball
and lots of other shenanigans!
We also take part in National Street Collections (RAIDS) for outside
charities, travelling all over the country!
So how can you get involved?
City
RaG is purely run and has members from the student community at City
who volunteer. There are obviously no membership fees and you can
do as little or as much as you would like to. We need people to
sit on the committee, help arrange events, put up posters, keep this
website up and running - in fact ANYTHING
you would like to do for us we are more than grateful! We always
welcome people who want to do street collections too!
To get involved
or leave
you name, phone number and email address in the Resource Centre in the
Students' Union (it is near the loos!!).
Why
do we have carrots???
Well....City
RaG's mascot is King Carrot III, he follows us around, offering love
support and the use of his giant orange carrot suits for collections
and events! Join RaG and find a new love - dressing in orange
fluff - grrr baby grrr! In homage to Him we have carrots on our
site!
Check out the rest of our site to
find out more about us and our event this year V-Day, and our beneficiaries.
